The Healing Point Wellness LLC is a health and wellness center located in the peaceful Hunter Professional Medical Building of Westminster, Maryland. We love supporting patients with maintaining health and balance as well as correct any imbalances and symptoms. We specialize in pain management, stress management, hormonal balancing, emotional movement, and spiritual growth.
Our focus is to create a partnership with each patient to offer support along their health and wellness journey. Mindfulness is a major part of wellness and directed questions with curiosity creates a powerful healing environment. Our bodies are intelligent and teach us where there might be imbalance or areas of improvement. Listening to our symptoms is the first step in healing so we love to explore symptoms as our teachers. One of our favorite things about The Healing Point Wellness is the peaceful and welcoming energy which creates space and time for healing.
Acupuncture is an ancient form of medicine which involves inserting ultrafine needles into individually selected points on the body. Originating in Asia, acupuncture is known to relieve pain, support all body systems and help with overall balancing.
Herbs have been used for centuries as powerful medicines to treat illness and disharmony in the body. Modern day pharmaceuticals and supplements extract the most potent phytochemicals from plants for mass production. This can compromise the integrity of the plant and can lead to side effects as different parts of the plant balance and harmonize others. Herbs as medicine are an integral part of healthcare and all supplements must be individualized for holistic therapy. The herbs come in capsules, tea pills, granules, or raw form. Each practitioner is a critical part of individualizing a patient’s supplement regimen and dosing as well as monitoring for side effects and ensuring progress to correct any imbalance or disharmony.
Cupping therapy is the use of glass, silicon or plastic cups placed on acupuncture points, pathways or muscle groups to relieve tension and encourage healing. Cupping has been used for thousands of years to relieve pain, support muscle healing, and draw out stagnant toxins in the muscle layer.
Auriculartherapy is the use of small seeds or crystals placed on specific acupuncture points in the ears to help support full body health and wellness while addressing any imbalances or disharmonies. The ears have hundreds of points that can support the entire body and the ears are powerful vessels with sensitive points that can create long lasting health benefits. This is a great alternative to acupuncture needles for those who might not tolerate needles.
Gua sha (scraping) is an ancient healing technique which uses specialized tools rubbed along acupuncture vessels, muscle fibers, and tendons to relieve pain and encourage healing. Gua sha can be used to iron out muscle fibers and relieve knots or soften tendons. Similar to cupping, it is often used to stimulate blood flow to a muscle group and clear toxins.
Massage therapy has been used for thousands of years to relieve stress and tension from the muscle layer. Massage is great for softening the muscles and relieving pain. It is therapeutic and can also support mental and emotional health.
Reiki is an energy healing technique. Practitioners serve as a conduit for the universal Reiki energy. This energy is unconditionally loving, intelligent, and can do no harm. It knows where it needs to flow, and it guides the practitioner to areas of need. It heals, balances, relaxes, and more, operating on all dimensions of Being from the physical to the transcendental.
Health and Wellness Coaching offers a client-centered, relational approach when helping individuals aspire to their health-related goals. Each client has unique needs, experiences, and health histories that affect the whole person. Health and Wellness Coaching can help clients with behavior change and wellness goal attainment such as increased self-care, weight loss, improved sleep health, diabetes prevention, reduced anxiety, chronic pain management, exercise adherence and more. Health and Wellness Coaching strives to help clients identify their motivations, helping to accelerate them towards their self-elected goals and/or identify the subtle imbalances in the various dimensions of wellness that can foster a sense of disharmony, illness or lack of well-being.
